I wonder what type of container the cremated remains are sent into space and if they are just now floating around in space or are they loose ashes?

Space burial? Instead of pollution for this why not space burial all the garbage instead of littering it all over planet.

I understood that the whole purpose of Machu Picchu. was to align the buildings with astronomical events… The pyramids… Stonehenge… Lay-lines… my garden sundial etc. all serve a similar purpose…

What is meant by “astronomically aligned”? Typically the phrase applies ONLY to manmade objects.

Inside the Machu Picchu, there is a giant stone at the top of a sacred mountain called the Intihuatana. This stone is astronomically aligned and sits perfectly at the four cardinal points. It casts various shadows during the day, but at noon in the fall and spring equinox, it does not cast any shadow.

What does that mean? The whole freaking Earth is astronomically aligned.

The Machu Picchu item is a little misleading. Now I may not have the latest information but the stone there which supposedly has an astronomical alignment, the intihuatani or “hitching post of the sun,” has never been demonstrated to have an alignment to anything, even given precession. That said, lore has it that it was their marker for the solstice. But then that lore comes from long after the site was abandoned; Hiram Bingham discovered ruins, not a living city.

I’m not even sure what it means to say that Machu Picchu itself is astronomically aligned.

Machu Picchu is more known for it’s perfectly fitted stone walls.

My take on the subject of internment of my mortal remains is to bury me face down and use me as a bicycle rack!
