I use black tape to make the face on our pumpkin, then peel it off & put the pumpkin in the back yard for the squirrels. Nuttin funnier than a squirrel stuck head-first into the hole he chewed into the pumpkin!!!
I prefer to use small pie pumpkins for baking pies and cookies. Cinderella pumpkins are sweet but too juicy. Jacko lantern pumpkins are not so good, and even though this comic is cute, eating street pumpkin is YUCK

The pumpkins from our garden were made into pies, soup and vegetables for some dinners. We have just one left – yumm!
