That chameleon has lots of karma coming.

One might say, karma karma karma chameleon.

Sherman’s not the brightest shark in the Lagoon.

I looked up why chameleons change color:To adjust their body temperature to the outside temperature.To reflect their moods and send social signals to other chameleons.To help their bodies adjust to changes in temperature or light.By dispersing or concentrating pigment granules in their skin cells.By tuning the distances between nanoscale crystals in their skin that reflect light, creating a spectrum of colors.

But not to blend in.

For some reason, Sherman reminds me of Daggett from Angry Beavers in the last panel.

In that outfit, you aren’t so much camouflaged as people prefer to ignore you.

What happened to his nose?!!!

Oh, Sherman, I know you’re not the sharpest tool in the shed, but how could you fall for that?

You’re not blending it, Sherman, you’re just even more gaudy then before.

I wonder if that’s the Geico Gecko?

I would say that the chameleon showed a way to make all his friends disappear

The eye patch doesn’t work unless you talk like a pirate

It turns out to be a fairly random reaction and not much of a voluntary effort at camouflage.

Looks like Sherman is ready for a night out dancing at the lagoon disco…
