Best Wiley’s Dictionary ever: Bison n. See Buffalo.

Buffalo n. Second largest city in NY State.

My old Encyclopedia Americana set has this to say about Robin Hood:

Robin Hood: See Hood, Robin.

Hood, Robin: See Robin Hood.

I discovered this one night in elementary school when I had a one-page essay on Robin Hood due the next morning.

To this day, I have no idea who Robin Hood is except that he’s a cartoon fox and his men wear tights.

(Okay, I made up that last part.)

Pollution, like the other multi-syllable “P” word. I can’t define it, but I know it when I “(choke, cough”) see it!
