My old Encyclopedia Americana set has this to say about Robin Hood:
Robin Hood: See Hood, Robin.
Hood, Robin: See Robin Hood.
I discovered this one night in elementary school when I had a one-page essay on Robin Hood due the next morning.
To this day, I have no idea who Robin Hood is except that he’s a cartoon fox and his men wear tights.
(Okay, I made up that last part.)
