Further and farther? I think if you get far enough away from the Solar System to see a black hole (which would otherwise swallow our Sun and everything around it)… Mars would be about as close to Earth as you can get, at least in Interstellar terms.

Here’s the classic comics update for the 18th:
Walt has all of his agents on the lookout for unusual postmarks. He gets a pat on the head for his troubles.
Quyat looks to take a big step on the road to manhood. Hipshot doesn’t think he’s ready, and takes a big step to extinguish the idea.
Lance and Brenda continue their trek upstate as the ice storm continues.. until a unfortunate turn of events has everyone feeling the big chill.
When the cat’s away, the mice will play – or in this case the farmer is away, and Skeezix’s trunk is totally empty. Hugo goes out turkey hunting for the holiday, and meets a friend. Or at least a kindred spirit.
“Is that really true, Arty? Have today’s children seen a lot about Mars on TV? Is there actually a lot of Mars content out there, on television, a medium that today’s grade-school children are definitely watching? Are America’s 8-year-olds into the Apple TV+ show For All Mankind, the only actual current show with Mars content that I can think of? Seriously, are they watching that? Are 8-year-olds watching it and not me, even though, as an alt-history sci-fi show created by Ron Moore of Star Trek/Battlestar Galactica fame, it was basically created to specifically cater to my personal tastes? Are the 8-year-olds really this far ahead of me on this? I gotta watch that show, is what I’m saying. Feel like I should finish The Expanse first (I KNOW), but I’m gonna get to it soon enough.”
