Wizard of Id by Parker and Hart for November 24, 2024

Unfortunately there are too few of them.

I’m grateful for my true friends and for my older brother, without whom I could not survive.

Today’s Wizard of Id strip is a pleasing contrast to today’s Wizard of Id Classics. Turnkey and Spook also feature in that strip but Spook is very depressed and Turnkey fears that Spook is losing his will to live.

Another day another dollar. Sounds like cool name for modern spaghetti western.

Now waitsaminute. Dollars in ancient times?

One of my teachers got incarcerated as a teen in the soviet special camp Sachsenhausen Www.sachsenhausen-sbg.De/en/history/1945-1950-soviet-special-camp and after he came free he became incarcerated for years by the Stasi. One of the countles stories he told us about those times was that observing this one spider at the window in his cell kept him sane during those awful times.

Spook wouldn’t be able to reach out if there were two doors.

The spider also eliminates insects (read mosquitos) that might bite Spook.

Grateful, Gracious, Generous

I’m grateful to be able to experience gratitude. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Spook has a really long arm.

Another day ………another 29 cents……..got a dollars worth of gratitude!!!!!

Spook looks at the bright side of things.

The only reason the Spook was in the dungeon in the first place was because he called the king a Fink, which is a matter of objective reality.

I wake up every morning, grateful for knowing that I have another day to plot my freedom and exact my revenge.

Happy Thanksgiving!

First time I read that opening line, I read it as, “Another day, Another holler.”

If only the wealthy could be grateful for having one mega yacht, one mansion, etc…

“Just so you appreciate me.”

And this all makes a wierd kind of sense.

There’s always a silver lining

It’s the little things that count.

I am grateful for the Lord Jesus Christ, who being equal to the Father did not consider the throne something to be grasped for, but humbled Himself to become as mortal man, shedding His blood for my salvation.
