True story: When they wrapped production on CHRISTMAS IN CONNECTICUT, Preston Sturges said to Fred McMurray “It’s been a pleasure working with you!” McMurray replied “I wish I could say the same about you, but it wasn’t.”
House decorated, less than 6 month old Samsung 77 in TV on the fritz, so no TV. Once they repair it I’ll break out Muppet Christmas Carol. That’s about the only Christmas program I like any more. Local radio station starts 24/7 Christmas music two week prior to Thanksgiving and stores have all Christmas items out on display prior to Halloween. By the time Christmas gets here I am sick of it.
New Christmas music, new snacks, new movies, new books, and new wrapping paper. Experience new Christmas each December 25th. New tree ornaments is another one. If you can’t buy or borrow it, make it yourself.

I live in Connecticut, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard of that movie. I’m sure it must be famous, though.
Of course, Drabble could always read something while the rest of the family is watching TV…nah, what was I thinking?

Well, I guess I should begin to think about getting the decorations out…

Reminds me a bit of Dr. Steve Finch (Matthew Broderick) with his Advent calendar in the 2006 movie “Deck The Halls” with Danny Devito.

We have movies traditions, but it’s insanity to plan out every day. Of course, we are talking about June Nutbag….
