I will echo Jesy Bertz. This was a wonderful arc, complete with a llama, an owl, an angry llama farmer (llama farma?), and some gorgeous artwork. Wallace in the last panel is a perfect combination of happiness and sleepiness.
When all of this started, Wallace said it was school night. That should give him something to talk about at school.
I wonder if he will remember the colorful exclamation his mom used when she was startled. If he shares it with Amelia, she’ll probably say “Meh. My grandma says that all the time when she catches me using her old wall phone for prank calls…”

But you had an adventure for a week, because otherwise we would have been staring at blank pages all week.

I love a happy ending! :D

I like that this had a happy ending. Here’s a thing, do you see a seagull in this one? I only see the one on the sign on Wallace’s door.

Owl along the watchtower
Wallace kept the view
While all the llamas came and went
Barefoot Sterling, too
While outside in the cold distance
A mother sees an owl
Two people came and went to bed
As the wind began to howl, hoot

What a delightfully beautiful ending to a long funny adventure between mother and son. What I wouldn’t give for a day like that with my boy.

Forget June Cleaver, I love Wallace’s mom, and Alice’s mom in Cul de Sac. They are the best!

Does anyone remember the Ordinary Bill story about the owl that hoots all night, and Bill asks him why and the owl says he’s afraid of the dark?

But if they hadn’t left what would have become of the poor llama? Imagine it wandering in front of a car or something! They were meant to go.
