The US has 1 percent of the world’s population but consumes 40 percent of the world’s toys. Americans are fed propaganda on a daily basis that the more you have, the happier you will be. Studies have shown that children with fewer toys tend to be happier, more creative and more sociable. Need I say more?
Some kindergardens (in Europe, of course) have started eliminating toys from the kindergardens. It has had very positive impacts on the children. They become more creative, they become more sociable with each other and they are happier. The children also spend lots of time outside, regardless of the weather. The children love it.
I learned about Wolfenoot in 2020: Wolfenoot!A celebration of canines, kindness, and humans who embrace both. #nohateonlysnootboopsIt is when the Spirit of the Wolf brings and hides small gifts around the house for everyone. People who have, have had, or are kind to dogs get better gifts than anyone else. You eat roast meat (because wolves eat meat) and cake decorated like a full moon.#wolfenoot
“Close to Christmas” = “double presents?” Better ask a few people with birthdays close to Christmas, kid. I think you’ll get unanimous agreement that for for greatest odds of maximum total “take,” you want that day to be as far away from Christmas as possible. Go for June 25.
Actually, some countries already celebrate Children’s Day. In Brazil, it is October 12. Just far enough from Christmas to give them a double jolt of gift-getting-adrenaline!

Better than bubble bath, put two cups of Dr. Teal’s lavender sleep salts in the bath. Very relaxing stuff!

Maybe you could just piggy back on Mother’s Day; after all they wouldn’t be mothers with out you, right?
