    Hey, I like the poetry.

This sounds like Chesney complaining, except for the “Sweet Annie” line.

    Today is:

NATIONAL TIE ONE ON DAY. National Tie One on Day might confuse people with its name. However, it is not at all about going out, getting crazy, and drinking too much while others are at home, working hard preparing for tomorrow’s big Thanksgiving Day meal. The day celebrates the apron as well as the past generations of women who wore them and it was also created as a day to bring joy to the life of someone in need and celebrate the spirit of giving.

    NATIONAL CRAFT JERKY DAY

    NATIONAL JUKEBOX DAY

    NATIONAL BAVARIAN CREAM PIE DAY

Thanks everyone for your well wishes for our safe trip to Indiana today (we will be leaving in about 7 and a half hours, so I will be off to bed very soon). The weather forecast keeps changing from the possibility of snow or mixed precipitation to little chance of any precipitation. Right now, the forecast calls for clear weather both Wednesday and Thursday. I think I can read the comics on my phone, but I haven’t been able to get it to let me comment, so you won’t see me here Wednesday night. I expect to get home late Thursday night. If we eat dinner at 6:00 Indiana time (that’s 5:00 Wisconsin time), well, I don’t know how long we will hang out after that, seeing we have about a 5-hour drive home, with a stop in Illinois to drop Mary off at her place. So maybe we can get home by midnight? I’m sure Daniel will want to get home by then if possible, because I think he has to work the next morning. I don’t start work until Friday afternoon, so I can sleep late on Friday. I hate leaving my cats overnight, but I will make sure they have plenty of food and water. I hope they don’t worry about me when I don’t come home Wednesday night.

Very clever, as Graham’s poems are! Quick Look tomorrow before I head south into city traffic to visit my sister. At least the first 2 hours will still be rural, and I’ll have a chance to shop Friday at Trader Joes and a large nursery for pansies to fill my pots whose summer flowers just got hit by our first hard freeze. We had at least 2 inches of rain – huge for us in this desert area, and the mountains just a half hour drive both east and west – except the roads are closed for the winter – are covered with snow.

Route Nine! Great poem today, Graham. This one is, so far, my favorite. So many of Route Nine’s sibs were mentioned. And ANNIE!!!! BIG THANK YOU.

I have to disagree. I really enjoy the poems. (Especially this one.) Still, it would be nice to see what the Kitties are up to. On another note, saw two squirrels and two juncos while out walking today.
