I have done my share of volunteer work after I retired. Mostly in a local hospital helping the nurses and receiving visitors at the front desk. However, there is usually one volunteer who is jealous of their volunteer job and will see to it that you don’t stay there for long. I’ve had this experience with a Blue Cross worker at this hospital and will never forget them for this.

After Earl mentors Nelson into comfy pants, there is a preppy preschool down the street.

Listen to your grampa, kid. This is important advice.
Of course, going pantsless is even more comfortable, but some people – most (all) – frown upon such a practice, for some reason.

Those who try going outside pantless find the experience is very brief.

Lionel Hutz (lawyer, Simpsons) once forgot to wear pants into a courtroom. The judge reminded him.

I’m wondering if Pigborn is over considering there has been no additions since August. Is the author dead?

Stand your ground, Earl. Now that you’re retired, don’t let Opal re-tire you.

I always tell my sons, you are never really done raising your children, and will always be a mentor and spoiler for your grandchildren.
