His favorite song is “Mother-In-Law” by Ernie K Doe.
The worst person I know A she worries me, so If she’d leave us alone we would have a happy home Sent from down below
Satan should be her name To me they’re bout the same Every time I open my mouth She steps in, tries to put me out How could she stoop so low
I come home with my pay She asks me what I made She thinks her advice is the constitution But if she would leave that would be the solution And don’t come back no more
Tell her, “You will not enter this house. If you try, I will be at the door with huge hedge clippers to cut those three spikey things off your head. Then I will duct tape your mouth and send you home!”
Reminds me of the joke…What’s the difference between a Mother in Law and a Pit Bull? Lipstick. When I would tell that joke to friends, my wife would remind me that my dear sweet mother was her Mother in Law. That’s when I quit saying that joke.
An excellent resolution Brutus my friend and now you know the plans of your mortal enemy. An irresistible force against an immovable object, A CLASH OF THE TITANS…..
It’s sad when a guest makes a homeowner want to leave town. I had a MIL that made me feel that way, too. For example, when we moved to a new house, she invited herself over to spend the night. When I got up to get ready for work, she was going through the few boxes I hadn’t yet finished putting away. I asked her politely to leave that work for me. When I got home, the furniture was moved around bizarrely. Once she said she was going to sell her house and move in with us. Luckily, that plan was cut off at the knees.
Well we know who’s going to be more successful at their resolution, don’t we. If Rancid is the Sultan of Schadenfreude Ramona is in the running for Sultana (a word I didn’t know existed until 1 minute ago!).

Maybe Brutus can get more hours to work or find a second job as an excuse not to come home when she’s there

You could always move and not leave a forwarding address, not sure Gladys will co-operate.

Brutus needs a den, with a door that locks, that he can retreat to when he wishes. Then they can both keep their resolutions.
