Saw that on the Western Journal news feed. You need enough advance warning to wet your house, your yard, leave, then hope for the best. I hope that building and landscape schemes get revised to give better protection going forward. My sympathy to those going through what some folks not far from here experienced a few years back.

Spent all day watching the fire. I’m so sorry Sue, Pacific Palasades has ceased to exist. Tonite I saw that they caught the person who started the Kennith fire, and late we got the news that another fire has broken out in Pacoima. Portland and Vancouver sent down Fire Trucks and Vegas sent some over too. I heard that Tiajuana was going to send up trucks and firefighters.Thought: What and where will they take all the rubble. There is enough to fill the Grand Canyon! A lot of homes were old with maybe asbestos in them. Lots of people just put plastic over the asbestos because abatement was so costly. After WWII Europe dumped a lot into the ocean, and we can’t do that now.

Chesney should have gotten Jack to watch the stand. Oliver is too honest to get anyone to want to stay there.

I just heard my friend from High School who lives in the Palasades has lost her home that they’ve lived in for 50 plus years.

NATIONAL HOUSEPLANT APPRECIATION DAY. I appreciate my house plants. My oldest one is a schefflera plant that was part of a plant arrangement at my dad’s funeral in November of 1990. There was another plant in the mix which I still have too, but I can’t think of the name of it. I have a pretty old aloe vera plant too, but I don’t know how old it is. Pars of it might even be older than the schefflera is.

Hasn’t our boy figured out he needs a new desk clerk yet? Maybe transfer one from UFO altho he seems satisfied with his job.

Has anyone heard from ELDO?
