Should have listened to your Dad, Lio. Everyone knows that your eyes will be permanantly damaged if you sit to close to the TV. Or it could fall and squash you…
A throw back to those old “Don Martin”
gag comics in “Mad Magazine” and I have a good title for this one:
“One Sunday Afternoon In Front Of The Big Screen….”
Lio’s dad should have strapped that rascal as it says to on the instructions (but we guys NEVER bother reading the destructions, uh, instructions). I think Mark is having a parental moment. If he were in top form Lio would have been absorbed in whatever he was watching. I can just imagine him meeting Mr Karloff as The Monster. That or Lio and the Squid could have watched together and been absorbed into 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

Like I keep telling my kids: you obey Mom and Dad, good things happen to you; you disobey them, bad things happen.

Growing up, we were warned not to sit too close to the TV. How far away is your computer monitor?

Wow, they sure have good tv. The character on tv looked like Frankenstein. No wonder Lio sat so close to it - must be one of his favorite movie.

Looks like Lio showed Dad; if Lio hadn’t been sitting close to the TV, it would’ve shattered on the floor and they’d have had to buy a new one.
Don’t forget to thank him, Dad!
