Wow! Wonder how many different names there are for a wedgie?I never saw anyone get a wedgie, but then again, I’m betting wedgies were more popular in boy’s circles. BUT a friend of my bro’s gave me a wedgie in the swimming pool with my swimsuit, and like Sundogusa said, I was lifted out of the water with my bum on full display! Fortunately, my swimsuit didn’t rip : /.
I’ve never thought of it that way, not fitting in as being more inherent than due to outside factors. Like, you learn to be an outcast rather than being born with it :P. Aw, that’s depressing though. You’re pulling at my heartstrings, Night-G! There are hundreds of thousands of people out there who are exactly like you. The trouble is finding those people, but you’re def not alone :).

We used to call wedgies “melvins”. There was some new kid in school from another state who called them “turkeys”.

I’m not sure if Melvin was the first guy to give a wedgie, or to get one.

We called them creepers! In my youth, two of us lifted another kid up so high, his skivvies ripped. All 3 of us laughed so hard we cried.

My grandfather’s name was Melvin. That made it all the funnier to me.

Bully repellent! Well, whatever works. Maybe the bullies thought you were a psychopath who studied martial arts ;).
