    Our new landlord overlords.

(Interesting words, “lord and lady”. The compound roots of “lord” are “loaf ward”, meaning guardian of the bread, and the roots of “lady” relate to “loaf dough”, originally meaning kneader of the dough. These etymologies indicate that in ancient British households the ones in charge of the food were in charge–period. (Well, I think this stuff is interesting.))

Aww, how sweet, they call us their little space bears. And they’ll love us, and care for us, and feed us… What?

(checks it in a dictionary) Whaddayaknow, pschearer is right. Didn’t know that. Interesting.

@ pschearer - you’re absolutely right. Also, the old Saxon “hlaefdige” was the female title of royalty, as well, by extension. “Queen”, or more properly “Cwene”, is not believed to have been used as the title for a female royal in England until Matilda of Bruges, wife (or hlaefdige) of William the Conqueror.

Another reason they better watch out – those Alaskans don’t only hunt moose.

I think those space bears are already here. They have names like “Cheer” and “Funshine” and act like they want to be your friend… and the moment they get close enough, they tear out your guts and eat them.

    Pleasant dreams!

Each and every Space Bear comes with an owner’s manual…(are you ready?)…”How to Serve Man.” :)

Not just the Vulcan teddy bears are modified here – so are the Vulcans!
