Actually it looks a lot like a “kabouter” (Dutch for gnome) as they were drawn by Dutch artist Rien Poortvliet. Just Google “Rien Poortvliet kabouter” and you’’ll see what I mean. He drew several books full of “kabouter” lore and they even created a cartoon series based on those books which ran for several seasons.
