Anyone curious/concerned about reruns, I’m working on the screenplay for one of the short films for the Project 21 Film Festival this year.

Every year teams from around the world compete to write, shoot, edit, and market a 10 minute film based around a secret element announced on a Saturday. The teams then have 21 days to complete their film.

So needless to say it’s been a busy few days, with more to come as we start to shoot the film. I’ll keep you all apprised if you’d like.

@ pab 21 days? wusses. ’Round here we do 48 hours for a 4-7 minute film. And we have to include a character (name & occupation), a line of dialogue, and a prop. And the genre is drawn out of a hat.okay, okay. fun is fun. (and filming is fun) Good luck to you!

OMG, I remember playing this game in the 70’s. I think it was called Adventure. My roommate worked at Digital Equipment and had one of those old, acoustic phone modems. It gave him a few Kbits/sec of bandwidth but the game was entirely text, so who cared. It was great fun and a herald of future games. We mapped out the “world” of Adventure on a spreadsheet, and those passages were horrible. There were several different types, barely distinguished from one another by their description: “a maze of twisty passages”, “a twisty maze of passages”, and so on. I still remember the password that would get you out of the trap – “xyzzy”. You never know what odds and ends you’re going to remember. These days I’m lucky if I can find my keys.
