Kate should become Secretary of State when she grows up. Her Jedi mind tricks would come in handy there. Somebody at State needs to know about Danae, anyway – so why not her?

You may as well ‘fess up, Danae.

How would you expect the teacher to contact the parent, Dogsniff? I wouldn’t trust Danae to give dad a note from the teacher. Would you?

The premise is completely unbelievable … a parent who actually pays attention to, and cares about, what his child is doing in school? Science fiction.

Schools in Ontario still send ‘formal’ letters for most things, and the report cards are also mailed.

who uses email and phones? if you want conversational comms, it’s facebook, and immediate comms is texting. if i get email, it’s usually spam or bills, and if my phone rings with odd/no ID, it’s refi-telemarket or police/cancer beg-a-thons. shows that it’s the same old garbage, just using modern media. especially from that .tk email address using the Apple 2.0.1 X-Mailer.

I thought Kate’s suggestion to her was just that. As to phones, I don’t answer mine unless I recognise #, but I get many mesages on email- gradually putting all the stores in separate folder with “rules” and I am in many “groups” of friends where I get a single summary mail per day. I don’t text (and refuse to have a cell) so some family who haven’t joined FB still email me.

All that frustration for nothing. I think Kate knew this would happen. Makes you wonder who the REAL evil mastermind is.

If it’s too good to be true, it probably is. Danae behaving in school is too good to be true, so what’s the catch?

Gerry, unfortunately, way too many school districts really do have that problem. I know. I taught in a district like that….

It shows Dad is not paying attention when the concern has to come from the teacher, first.
