yes… now that Rose knows he is there she will take care of him… either incourage him to fly south, or feed him and take care of him till spring

I wonder if there really are birds that wait too long or have problems with the migration instinct. (?)
We have plenty of migratory birds that winter over here in Michigan. I’ve never seen one frozen yet.
Rose, you have to get that bird out of there.

When songbirds find a secure nesting place during winter (usually with other warm bodies in a good shelter) they can be fine for the winter. I’ve seen it many times.
