Chuck: You've pumped the primer button six times.
Delores: Yup.
Chuck: Alright. Now we yank on the the start cord until she turns over.
Delores: Now what?
Chuck: We sit & we have a heart pill.
I’m too short and physically uncoordinated for the pull-start. I think that’s why my parents hunted down an old rider for me when I bought my home. The grass kept getting taller because the push-mower wouldn’t start—not when I tried, anyway.

The mower should have been cremated with Dad.
Those of us who remember the rope starters before the EZ start we now use was developed salute you Chuck.

Mine still has a rope/pull start. I didnt know there was an easy start. Maybe I am ready for a heart pill, because now I feel really old.
