OK RitaStart with “Hello World” and work up to the clock program. In any language that should keep her busy for a week or so unless she “delegates” her learning classes as some managers I know will do.

just like management. everything you do is easy, but what they do is so difficult. especially, if that manager didn’t have the background. For example, if your work is extremely technical, and they came from a warehousing/inventory background, headaches will happen. they will more concerned with paperwork, and how and why are you using those items, and why are taking so long to finish the project. even worse, is they are learning management skills from books, not textbooks. but, books like jack welch and six sigma.

Rita uses management by insult/contempt. Dana by fear/terror. i would say that the workplace environment is kinda toxic.

Nothing over the top about management denigrating workers. Happens all the time. Those higher up the ladder think they were placed there especially, because in every way they’re more deserving.

A lot of little Napoleans and midden-heap Bantams in Postal management to be sure. During my brief stint, my super’s name was Infantino. Don’t think he didn’t have something to prove.

Give her an Arduino. Any idiot can learn them. (And many do, sadly.)

Of course Rita thinks this will be easy. She is management and knows everything. Jay is but a peon.

Ask anyone? Okay, ask me. My husband and I both were rural carriers, 47+ years. We retired because my husband said, if he didn’t get out of there, he was going to “go postal”. I left at the same time. Put them in a bind, but the subs loved it. A minimum of 10 weeks work for them, saved our sanity, drove management nuts, win all around. Postal work isn’t like it was 30/40 years ago. All the improvements took the service out of postal service. Rant over.

From the places I’ve worked, I’ve learned to compare management to Steel making rather than dairy. In steel making, the impurities rise to the top, you scrape it off and throw it away.
