You're definitely staying home from school today, young man. I'll give them a call right now. If mom already packed me a lunch, I'll see if she'll give it to you. That's the furthest thing from my mind right now.
when I was a kid our cat Alex used to sit with me whenever I was sick. We grew up together and he never did it for either of my sisters. He was a good kitty.
Dogs have a sense for people in pain or suffering. I am repaying my right now for all the times she has been my company in times of pain and sadness. She has been sick for a month and a half I have been there for her all the way because she has been there for me before. Glad to say she is 90% better.
Red and Rover may not always be funny, but they often have that Aww moment. Much like the imortal Family Circus. We don’t always read it for laughs, but when the laugh isn’t there there is usualy a warm and fuzzy that comes with it.
rover will stick by his side until he passes out… then he will go and find out if mom already made a lunch, make quick work of it, and then go back to reds side.
Long ago I had a small golden Spanial named Snoopy; he had a bone that he just loved. One evening when I fell sick I felt a movement on the bed and he had come in and laid his bone on my chest. He would give up his favorite possession if it would help me get better.I feel that is one of the big differences between people and dogs…
Love this comic strip; so glad our paper carries it! This one reminds me of our dachshund, Fritz; he never left the kid’s side when one of them was sick.

Rover rocks.

Almost forgot that Rover is canonically Red’s guardian angel dog. That’s why he pushes aside hunger at a time like this.

My cat always knows when I’m not feeling well too and there’s nothing like snuggles from your best friend to make you feel just a bit better.

Pets are the best when one is sick. I had a cat that totally knew something was wrong with me when I was sick out of my brain and in bed for a week.
