I’ve never before seen a word balloon merged into a creature’s body like that. This is an hallucinatory comic strip.

I’d be willing to risk it that your enormous nose-word balloon would hold all your piddle-diddle adequately! Bow down to my will!

Looks like an Ood with a glandular problem.

At first sight, I thought of those strange creatures with the bulbous noses in “Popeye”. I can’t remember what they were called.

pcolli, those were the Goons. They had furry forearms, lower legs, and shorts. (Not clear whether the shorts were garments or self-grown.)

So, nose-balloon-spectre, we make room for you or you’ll make water on us?

Alice was the only goon who wore clothing. The others had a “skirt” of hair.

My brother& sister-in-law own a newish diesel Beetle and I suppose it emits greasy peedle-deedle when it skedaddles.

The toon person’s head appears to be morphing in to, or away from, a duckling or heffalump.

The Popeye Goons were originally Moon Goons, who lived on the Moon. Not sure when they moved to Earth. No idea why, either.

Now can someone explain ‘piddle-diddle’ to me?

@FB: Until I saw the name, I thought I was looking at an image of Charlie Chaplin…or maybe one of the Marx brothers, not Gary Cooper! Wow.

I for one am really enjoying the news reports from Seattle on the blog. I think I might have eaten at that Chinese restaurant on Third between Union and Pike. Not much has changed in that neighborhood since the raid.

Also, Gary Cooper as a young rake? Those eyes! I swoon!
