I’d buy my butter cookies at the supermarket before I’d negotiate the matter with anybody.

There is both a certain amount of charm and a great deal of utility in a clean but moist merkin. Of course it helps if your merkin doubles as a muff.

Don’t call me Fishface! Butter cookies are one of the great delights of life. Merkins, on the other hand, are not: be true to yourself, whether hirsute or bald.

LBJ frequently addressed his ‘fella Merkins.’ I’m guessing that there must be other famous Merkins as well…

I’ve read Irena’s story previously. I’m so happy that her work was honored before she died, and that her story continues to be told.

Is the typical gocomics reader the guy wearing the merkin in the wrong place or the woman visible through the window behind him?

Re: Blog-TattooI remember the strip. It’s one of those strings that keep a kid’s mittens attached to the coat so they don’t lose them. Lucy wanted to cross the street, Charlie Brown offered to hold her hand while they crossed to make sure she made it safe, but Lucy didn’t want to actually hold a boy’s hand, so…..
