For cryin’ outloud, Evans! This story arc’s been going on since the near end of January! Give it a rest and start something new already!

Where is this going. Might it be anticlimactic ? I hope not, maybe Gunther can repay #77’s favor, and help him with schoolwork.

There have been a lot of issues with bullying again of late. I think this is a great opportunity to have these issues addressed and in a unique way. Mr. Evans has done similar things in the past. I applaud it and would like to remind all that their opinion does not represent the lot. Read if you want and don’t if you…don’t. Either way, I am pretty sure Greg Evans won’t be bullied into any story changes.

Hey I would like to see a story arch about Delta… What’s going on with her lately? We barely get to see her.But would like to see more of Brad and Tony!!

My alternate scenario: Les confronts Gunther in an alley. Looks bad for Gunther. Suddenly a trash truck appears and Toni’s ex boyfriend jumps out. Les knows his rep and backs off. Another rescue by “The Creepy Superman.”

Meanwhile, if any of us feel odd because we are adults not only reading, but commenting on a comic, check out TLCs “My Strange Obsession.” Now that’s weird! Face it, we are all sort of nerds.

Bullies Suck. But why can’t Gunther speak like a Teenager.

Love the complainers, but I do enjoy the wrap up.Perhaps the big guy will given Gunther some things to chew on.

Lady Gaga was bullied when she in high school, and now she advocates against bullying.

@Comicman while I do agree that this story seems to have been going on for weeks now – he can’t just change directions in the next day or so. The strip you are reading today was done 4 weeks ago.

To everyone who complains about the length of a story arc -Comics are drawn weeks, if not months in advance. Mr. Evans wrote & drew this strip some time ago. The strip is not going to change tomorrow based on your postings. Your complaints are not going to alter the past, nor influence the future.

Some people must think that a comic artist reads these posts, then alters his style / story to please the posters. They don’t.

If you still don’t like it, learn to draw, learn to develop characters & stories, put years of hard work in to get syndicated, then you can have a comic strip that you won’t complain about.

I’ve begun reading this website for the comments rather than the arc/storyline. The former is very entertaining while the latter has, unfortunately, stagnated.

What’s wrong with having a large vocabulary? People are not showing off when they use larger words. They probably just understand the nuances involved with the different words and get highly frustrated when people misuse words.

Oh my…..and I prayed yesterday that this story line had ended!!!!

So I was okay with this strip arc for a month, but now… it’s getting old since Gunth was already bullied and Leslie has left. So I’m kind of interested in seeing how the Luann and Quill are doing. TJ and Ann, and Brad and Toni.

Oh no. I hope Gunther doesn’t try his Naked Man gambit with 77.

I enjoy the social commentary & strories about bullies.

But the constant whining of a long story arc is getting old. If someone doesn’t like the strip, don’t read it…..save 5 seconds of your life & go read a strip you will enjoy.

I’d like to see Tiffany hook-up with #77. A real meeting of the intellects.

8:45 am and already 73 comments. Guess we must Not be tired of this storyline! My guess is that Mr. Evans is going to show our young friends that 1) being powerful doesn’t mean you have to be a bully, 2) favors need to be repaid, and 3) shyness and introvesion can be conquered— with gratitude (grati-dude, in Knute’s case)

Gunth, take your thesaurus out of your mouth. 77 is is not just his number, it’s his IQ.

You’re all a bunch of trolls. This is a great strip and I love where this story has gone.

At least we found out who saved Gunther from becoming Les’ next punching bag.

I like 77. Gunther is just overexcited by the whole turn of events and has thoughtlessly unleashed his word-horde. There was another gent of “ample girth” who was nicknamed the Dumb Ox. But he turned out to be pretty sharp.

So let’s find out if #77 is Chris Farley or Chris Christie. Either one is/was a success, but vastly different. In fact, there are a lot of people who think the latter Chris would be a shoe-in for our next prez.

If Mr. Evans reads these comments, then even ‘Please it’s gone on too long!’ comments are valuable for future reference. As fans we all want to read nice comments about our favorite strips, but even negative comments will help Mr. Evans hone his comicking skills to higher levels.I felt torn about the conclusion to this story. As a frequently beat up and bullied student, I know that crowds do not turn on the bully. They want blood as much as the crowds in ancient Roman Colliseums. But maybe the strip will inspire someone, anyone, to stand against bullying. By the way, where was Luan during this public spectacle? I would have loved to see her save the day. Maybe Les punches nerds, but perhaps he doesn’t punch girls….?

Just because #77 is BIG doesn’t mean he is slow. He may not need help on his homework. I’ve known high school teachers who couldn’t comprehend Gunther’s vocabulary & they weren’t all coaches.

To Zedman 2222: I didn’t make up “Creepy Superman” for Dirk. That’s what Luann’s parents called him. He’s an interesting character – my idea would be another chance to bring him in. He would say to Les in his smarmy way “you’re not gonna hurt that little guy are you?” And Les would decide to squirm out of the situation.

I like #77. I had a #77 looking out for me in high school, and he went on to get his PhD. But, last I saw, Gunther was trying to get some private time with Rosa. Cue the music: “I can’t get no satisfaction.” Come on, you two, generate some heat.

So Chris/Hoss/Bruno/#77 will replace Quill as Luann’s love interest? How quaint. Buh-bye Quill. I guess if Toni found redeeming qualities in Brad, then Luann can find similar ones in #77. After all, he’s sort of a gentle giant and who’s to say that’s all bad? Ahhh, but I’m dreaming…

There are enough suggestions for story lines below, maybe Greg needs to draw three strips every day.
