If it’s an ‘acquired’ adaptation, then Bob must be some kind of Neo-Lamarckian.

The croc demonstrates the fundamentalist’s approach to refuting evolution. (Not one in ten can define evolution, much less understand it — and not one in a hundred can grasp how religion and science actually inform each other, not oppose each other.)

Not for Catholics. We have come to terms with evolution, and have no problem mixing reason and faith. Haven’t had more than temporary problems there for something like 1000 years. . . .

I guess I’m someone.

There are processes that create new genetic codes, over long enough periods of time. And that mixes-and-matches in each generation. Like radiation, or mis-reading in the duplication process during cell division. Or the switching parts of chromosomes during meiosis.

Furthermore, some experiments, like the Soviet breeding experiments trying to breed a more docile silver fox, show how small changes in one area may make for big changes in the resulting animal.
