Whoa, a serious adventure!

Why hasn’t Miss Bliss noticed this yet? XD

Like I said yesterday, Alice is making a break for it. Alice has a kiddie car. Spaceman Spiff had his rocket ship.

I don’t think that’s the kiddie car in which we see Alice.

This strip makes me chuckle. Alice looks so devious.

That would, I presume, be Ms. Bliss’s car, the keys for which Alice apparently filched. I would be very wary of a four-year-old driver. I hope Miss Bliss has paid up her insurance….

I wonder if anyone will ask why this cartoon is drawn different than it used to be today?

For those of you who are upset that some are asking about the style change: in my case, I don’t always have time to read the comments, just the strip. I’d been wondering, but had the time today to look back at past strips’ comments to find out why. Best wishes to Mr. Thompson, and I’m enjoying this story. I think this is totally in Alice’s character.

These guest artist are taking this strip to places Mr. Thompson never would.

The poor drawing is hurting the strip. Is Richard ill or injured?

Alice is just like Maggie Simpson at the Ayn Rand Daycare Center…

The drawing seems off, the characters less detailed. Am I imagining things? Hope it’s not the start of some computer generated shortcut.

What does the asterix refer to?

I’m just happy he has so many good friends. Give them a break, kids.. Dill is whistfully wishing to be in the kiddie car while Alice commandeered a real one- that’s cute!

@Sacqueboutier Think of it as a cover, as in music. You don’t want an exact duplicate of the original, or what’s the point? The artists are doing a good job of mimicing the style and sense of the strip while adding a little twist.

It’s more of a homage to RT and his creation.

Richard is undergoing medical treatment yes—but I disagree that it’s hurting the strip, as long as people understand what’s happening.

kirbey re last night, if it keeps up, Fellow Baby (Grog) and I will have enough to take us all out for lunch! Well, all but the “wisenheimers”. They can buy their own lunch! :-D

I’m not sure if Richard gave his stand-ins free rein or not. I think that Ruben is doing his own take on the world of Cul-de-Sac.

It is nap time … this could all be a dream. I think this behavior, although funny, is out of character for Alice. Saturday the kids will all wake up…

What happened to the original artist for this strip? The drawings are several steps backward in quality.

I’m not an art conna-sewer I guess. The strip is just fine. Enjoy.

I am thoroughly enjoying the stand-ins’ take on this strip. If they all drew the same and thought the same as Richard, we wouldn’t miss him, now would we? While he is getting healthy, we are still being amused with some variations.

I would love to see Louis Maltby make an appearance. :>
