I think the whole joke is that, number one, Takei was a much better Sulu, and number two, she can’t keep her Star Trek characters straight. Still, she needs even more punishment.

Wouldn’t it be funny though to see George Takai in the Spock role? I can hear the conversation now,….Captain: “Hey Spock, you and Uhura should hook up”. .Takai as Spock: “Highly illogical, Captain”.

Perhaps the original dialogue regarded Quinto vs. Nimoy (like Sheldon was debating in a recent BBT), and “Spock” was passed over when they decided to change it?

@carlmiNew movie was great! Sort of a prequel to TOS, and involving yet another change to the time line.

Neither John Cho nor George Takei played Spock. It was Zachary Quinto and Leonard Nimoy. I hope this was only supposed to show how lame Roy is regarding Star Trek trivia.

They had it right in Monday’s strip, but got it ohh so wrong in Tuesday’s strip. Roy needs to face his own Jedi Mind Trick for getting it wrong. Can’t wait to see Wednesday’s strip to see if they fix it.
