DYING is natural, Steph. Why delay the inevitable?

Something about Stephan seems to offend Rat. Or maybe it’s just that Rat has this ‘thing’ about authority and prerogatives…and now that i think about it, it’s just as well they ’don’t get along’…

There’s some truth to this – just look at Peanuts, B.C., Wizard of Id, etc…..

My Avatar’s (Rat’s) stick arms are apparently much stronger than they lead you 2 believe. I wonder why Rat didn’t use that on Andy Capp in the Cartoonist’s War?

I believe that Rat has been depicted killing Stephan several times.

Rat, Pastis has suggested, is Pastis’s evil alter ego. So if Rat whacked cartoon-Pastis, would that be a case of comedic suicide?

Use the bat on Rat. Time to remind Rat of Pearls without Rat.

Rat’s got it all wrong . . . he’s choking up on the bat too much. You lose power that way.

Rat has always been the designated hitter.

Stephan should know better than to give Rat an opportunity like that.

If I am to die, it will not be at the hands of a figure I created!

I’d like to die like this guy I read about. Quickly and peacefully. Of course it was hard on the other three members of the car pool he was driving at the time.

Look, I throughly enjoy this comic and a few others but do we really need to analyze every strip to get to it’s root meaning… they’re comics.
