When my son was being toilet trained; we came across a store like that and he had to go bad. I begged the clerk to please let him go. They answered NO! So, my son pulled it out and went right in front of her and the rest of the customers. I was so proud! (also glad I didn’t have to clean up). We walked out of there like nothing happened. Serves ’em right, in my opinion.
Drop the RESTROOM FOR and make it an EMPLOYEES ONLY sign instead. Why announce to the general public what it is if you’re not going to let them use it?
I’ve never understood the general public’s belief that they have a right to a restroom wherever they go. Just because it’s a public place, doesn’t mean people have a claim to use a bathroom otherwise marked for employees only. Many of you people who are commenting about threatening to use the restroom wherever you like if they don’t allow access must never have seen what the general public does to public restrooms. I would likely guess, and probably be right, that many places not allowing public access to restrooms have had horror stories of customers leaving their facilities a complete and utter mess. To compare, this would be like me driving down the road, really having to go, and pulling over in front of your house and asking to use your bathroom. I would guess that many of you would not allow it.

It sure is annoying when there are places with toilets not to be used by the general public. Come on, do they want us to go in our pants?!

I always prefer until I can return to my home (or hotel room if that is the case). I do not want to use public facilities.
