@Dogsniff: “La Burger” sounds like it might have come from el Espanyol, which gives it an automatic lowbrow feel the restaurant owner probably didn’t want. The article “le” on the other hand is unmistakably supposed to sound like it came from Francois, thus implying a more gourmet dining experience. (Although the word Burger kind of belies that; I think the contrast there may be intended as a subtle social comment of some kind, but I can’t work out the details).

Time to let that pink slime issue die.

Pink slime is in the food that the cheep restaurants make. Try to name a few. (hint the wopper, happy meal, taco.

The butcher near my house has that exact same sign outside his shop.

For what it’s worth, “burger” is a masculine word in French, so “Le” is required to make it a French probably high-class restaurant.

While pink slime isn’t appealing, is it truly “bad”? Seriously, what is SPAM made of? We fed that to US soldiers for years . . .

While “Pink Slime” would be a great name for a Punk Metal garage band, it’s a LOUSY name for something that the food industry wants you to eat. Who thought of this name and why on Earth did their superiors allow it to become public knowledge?!

If a French noun ends in e, it is feminine, and La is correct. Otherwise, it is masculine, and Le is correct.

I thought everyone knows the only meat McDonalds has is in their fries. I’ve never seen it pink, though. I understand sometimes, it’s blue, but I try to avoid Mickey Ds nowadays…
