I was laying golf one very hot July day with my dog leashed to the push cart. I happened to walk under the only tree on the front nine holes. All at once the cart became extremely hard to push. I looked behind me and my dog Rudy was being dragged on his side. He wanted to stay in the shade really bad.

Hey, if YOU were wearing a “Solar Collector” and couldn’t sweat, YOU’d be begging to get in too!

My labrador [mix] sings her complaints… I’ve got several videos of her complaining about the Batman theme song on her SassyIII YouTube page, and one of these days, I’ll get a video of her complaining even louder that the car is not getting where we’re going fast enough.

Actually, that’s her nickname… Drama Queen.

My dog Kaya took real pleasure from drinking from a hose. I think she thought the hose made the water taste better. It definitely was cooler then in a dish.

@golden roya:I played tug of war with a friend’s Labrador, with a piece of rope, one of the friendliest dogs I’ve ever met, although with formidable strength and teet;-)

Do what I have doone with my labs. Get a child’s wading pool and fill it with water. It will need changing periodically because of all the debris the dog drags in, but that water can be used for your garden or compost pile. Best of all the chlorine that was in the city water supply will be reduced from being exposed to the air fro a day or two.

My BF had a cute female mostly lab that had a great personality. He taught her to climb the pool ladder and wait until told to slide down, and she would swim laps until she had permission to come out. I thought it got chilly for her sometimes and insisted that she come out and get towel dried (by me or his kids if he would not). As I found him too controlling, I have always been good friends but not more.

The real Sophie is still recovering from knee surgery so no hose for a bit longer.
