I had The Most Overprotective Mom in the World, yet she let me throw firecrackers and do my own fireworks. (I’ve never figured out why, but I’m eternally grateful.) Mrs. T. should lighten up.

Making a kid wear ear plugs while watching fire works is like putting a muzzle on a dog and giving him a new chew toy. Just cruel.

Exactly! On Sunday, when Canadian’s had their Canada Day Celebrations, the last minute of the show kept getting closer to us, and the sound ’amp’d up’ … it was great.
