Re: under investigation, At work someone has the same shot in motivational poster form with the caption “GIRL SCOUTS, next time you’ll just buy the damn cookies”
Wow, a banner day on the blog for me. First Under Investigation with that awesome picture of the little girl and the fire. Then one of my favorite sayings on Blame You. And then the Handbook for the Recently Deceased from Beetlejuice.
Remember when we used to say " Sleep tight. Don’t let the bedbugs bite. " ? Bet that fire was at a hotel in New York or a motel in Florida.Traveling ? Be afraid….Be very afraid !
i suck at computers also, but it sounds like a problem i had recently with my internet provider.it fixed itself…(something to do with “bandwidth”? i could, and probably am, wrong.)
Poor old Vincent, running completely out of suitable subjects for his paintings – in the end he was reduced to painting some stupid chair! It must have driven him mad, no wonder he shot himself in the ear.
Teresa, if there’s no Frog Applause today, let us flashback to the 8th when ARTISAN CHEESES were the putative subject. Which led to a good chuckle when I saw the headline for this article¹ on Artisan Cottage Cheese in our local paper.¹Yeah, the physical paper. I still read those. But do you think I could find the article on their web page? No. I had to do a Google Search for it and link somewhere else.
There was a time when webcomics were the poor cousins of the real thing but time moves on. Instead of a couple dozen comics in the Sunday paper or a few hundred titles in a comic book store we have tens of thousands of comics on the web. A presence only on paper would be very limiting. Many of my favorites could never have existed in such a limited market.
My current definition is that authors of comics and web comics have different economic models. A comic author sells their comic as the end product, the web comic author gives that away (basically it’s merely a branding/marketing tool) and sells merchandise as their primary source of income. Hence the difference between, say, Topatoco and GoComics.
—And now it’s Thursday, 19 VII 12, a bit after 1:00 AM local time (normal posting +1 hour) and no FA for a second consecutive day. Are you not well, Teresa? Or just experiencing a bit of a creative block? We are concerned….
On the other hand, I would be willing to accept as substitute a series of handwritten notes explaining that ‘Teresa couldn’t make it today because her pet hamster has the hiccups / she is still recovering from seeing a REALLY BAD movie / a gypsie told her not to’, etcetera. And before you know it a new art form has been born.
Get well soon, Teresa.ROCK DOILIESThose are just the thing for this one homeless guy we see occasionally on running club runs on the trail by the river here. He carries a similar sized collection of similar sized rocks and pebbles in his backpack and lays them out in careful patterns on the ground, talking softly to them as he does so. Doilies would just add that certain je ne sais quoi.
Teresa, I too wish you a speedy recovery- and not just because when you’re out of sorts the whole GoComics empire seems to go haywire. Get well. Feel the love.
Oh, Teresa! 20 VII 12, and my bees are all practically kneeless from praying! We are your purpose, we will be your flour! Knead us as we need you! Bake us until we brim with deliciousness for your sake!Fight! Fight! Fearless Frog Applause Followers! FA forever! Onward, for Teresa and Victory!

I must be getting a different version of this comic.
I see no playground equipment, no naked lady sitting on a leather sofa or anyone trying to work a rubick’s cube.
Did I get a censored version???
All I see are bed bugs migrating to a firehouse.
