Just another step in the learning process we “boys” go through. A necessary step before becoming “twitterpated” – to borrow the description from Disney.:-)
As a boy, I never went through the stage that ‘Calvin’ is in. Girls were just diffferent, not inferior, not superior, just different. Then I grew up, got married and learned just how different ‘girls’ were—epecially in thinking—where do they come up with all their strange ideas.
You must be the bug in the family – getting squashed. If feasible I let my husband indulge in his little fantasies. Maybe offer to sell one of the other cars. Logical is good but not fun.Calvin is fun – I love him.
SUSAN NEWMAN Well I have lived long enough to see a black man become president and reelected. I can only hope to live long enough to see a woman become President as well.
Nature did play a cruel trick, Calvin, but it was on you. Little boys like you dislike and disrespect girls. Then, when you are older and have alienated all of them that you know, you will suddenly want them even more strongly than you wanted them gone. Will Susie be understanding when she is older, or will she extract her revenge?
Calvin you had better find a better place for your finger, because that was not it.When Susie gets older shes going to hang beatings on you that are really going to hurt.By the time you are married you will be humble yes man.
Stick out your finger and press the wrong button and you will get a lesson from the school of hard knocks. Calvin needs to get some advice from Hobbes on how to schmooze the distaff side of life – I mean, how else are you going to get smoochies or at least avoid knuckle sandwiches?
That is so funny! And true – you just can’t win with us women. Well, maybe if you sell that one, you can buy the one you really want as she seems to be warming up to the idea of a convertible. Good luck.
Given the ridiculous amounts of money that (male) coaches and pro players of every kind make these days, I find myself often thinking that I was definitely born the wrong sex!!!!!
Hey, boys are the ones who are made of snails. And we hardly have a “dim perception” (Well, sometimes I lose touch with reality, but 1. that’s beside the point and 2. I’m not a normal girl.)

Keep telling yourself that, Calvin.
On the other hand, there is a certain resemblance between boys and bugs. . . .

When I was Calvin’s age, the only other kids my own age in the neighborhood were girls. I managed.

I read recently that 25% of the women in the US are taking meds for mental illness. That’s scary!! It means that 75% are running around untreated.

Menstrual cycle, childbirth, menopause… maybe nature did play a cruel trick on our beloved “other halves”.

If Calvin did’nt pick on Susie all the time she would think he does’nt like her…..He must like her alot to take that kind of punishment.

I wonder if it DOES somehow balance out? What with death rates during childbirth, and Taliban style oppression, I don’t see how it could…
