Not too surprising. Research has shown that crows can recognize individual people and remember ones that have caused them problems. And they react just about that way.
I have not seen that with crows, but my cuddles remembered people who she perceived as wishing he harm (showing her very scary stuff). A lady who thought she’d like to play with a scrub brush.
