Who wouldn’t mind taking a few whacs at a clown?

Depends on the clown. Some people who dress as clowns have a great heart. Other people who dress as bad clowns as the Joker I would like to hit.

-I’m generally not a fan of clowns, but I even I must protest lumping them in the same category as politicians….

I feel exactly the same way! Make the pinata in the form of a clown!! Whoever came up with the idea that children love clowns? (shivers)

The moment I read Ruthie’s last line I knew there’d be at least a few whoops and cheers. While I never considered myself to be a huge fan of clowns, until fairly recently I never realized just how deep the antipathy towards them ran in a lot of people. But while I can sympathize with that view to a certain extent, even if I don’t fully share it, I would have to take issue with the notion that clowns are comparable to politicians in creepiness. Regarding the latter, there is no comparison.
