The moment I read Ruthie’s last line I knew there’d be at least a few whoops and cheers. While I never considered myself to be a huge fan of clowns, until fairly recently I never realized just how deep the antipathy towards them ran in a lot of people. But while I can sympathize with that view to a certain extent, even if I don’t fully share it, I would have to take issue with the notion that clowns are comparable to politicians in creepiness. Regarding the latter, there is no comparison.

Depends on the clown. Some people who dress as clowns have a great heart. Other people who dress as bad clowns as the Joker I would like to hit.

I find clowns to be very creepy. The new ronald mcdonald, ewwww…… gives me the heebeejibies! What’s with the mickey mouse gloves!?
