“Get it, Skip! It’s like a ‘double feature,’ but they’re both creatures, so we’re calling ‘double creature!’ That’s just a sample of the movie-themed humor we’ll be showing off at the Valentine!”
Knowing this bunch, they’re probably planning to screen the 1976 “Kong” with Jessica Lange and the 1998 “Godzilla” with Matthew Broderick.
Meanwhile, Ed has spent the last six days guzzling “buttery-flavored popcorn topping” straight out of the dispenser.
What?…“Double…CREATURE” series?! (desperately wraps Ace bandages around my sides, so that they do not SPLIT!) You guys…you think this is funny? YOU GUYS THINK THIS IS FUNNY?! HOW IS IT FUNNY, IT’S LIKE WHEN CRANK SAID “PIGEON” AND YOU GUYS THOUGHT IT WAS THE ALGONQUIN ROUND TABLE
So this “art theater”, after their Grand Opening showcase of one of the greatest films ever made, is just going to resort to showing old Grade B monster flicks? Sounds like a gold mine.
Skip: “But hold on, don’t you two have important jobs over at Channel One? How are you able to hold two full time jobs and also raise a child whose age fluctuates from 2 to 12 depending on the day?”
Our Dynamic Duo: “Oh crap, we forgot about that. Neither of us have shown up at the studio in half a year!”

King Kong AND Godzilla? This is a code phrase for “Les Moore and Funky Winkerbean,” isn’t it?
