Mr. Clark should be wondering about where his bank guards were. Oh wait, maybe they are just security monitors https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_25zgKdqI0
Not sure where Tracy’s last line of dialogue came from, unless he means Blackjack was drawn to the bank after reading about the court cost battle in the newspaper. Actually, this whole storyline has a certain discordant vibe to it. like a week or so of strips went missing.
Let E. Kently Clark fume all he wants. Our detective made the right choice. He may be attired in yellow, but he is no coward! And if Clark tries to sic Mayor Armstrong on Tracy, that too shall ultimately fail.
I do not know what Blackjack plans to do with the heist money; it may or may not have a Robin Hood-ish aspect (he might fund a children’s hospital, for all we know), but the bank will not suffer too severely, if insurance covers their (and their customers’) loss.
You gotta wonder about the people running Paragon Bank:
1. They probably had an embezzler (Jarman) on the payroll.
2. There was apparently no audit of Jarman’s work after he left.
3. No one there seems to realize that B.O. Plenty is an eccentric client and shouldn’t try to treat him like your average customer.^
4. The bank seems to not care about the negative publicity generated by the trial (else, why not pay the court costs on time)?
5. The bank also seems to not about the negative publicity generated by the non-payment of the court costs (which was possibly the reason Blackjack robbed it).
6. There were few bank guards (none were seen, but there must have been at least one – right?).
7. Their CEO tried to browbeat the famous, successful lawman Dick Tracy!
^ Shouldn’t “Miss Hathaway” at least have the right people skills, after her years of dealing with the Clampetts? ;-)

Seems like Tracy has a soft spot for Blackjack… that’s the SECOND TIME he has let him walk away.
If I were the bank manager I’d go right to the Mayor

Is Blackjack going to split off $250 and send it to the court?

If I recall correctly, doesn’t Blackjack consider himself a modern-day Robin Hood?

Who is that man, and what did he do with the real Dick Tracy?

Well, if the story needs the re-appearance of a certain FBI agent, that door is officially unlocked ;-)

Hmm…https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tubthumping#In_popular_culture should have a mention of Blackjack in it.

Even though he’s the most lethal gunman in the history of comic book/strip lawmen, Dick Tracy puts public safety first.
Good job, Tracy.
