Tracy is smart to realize that Art Dekko is not going to get rich from selling $30 animation cels and wouldn’t settle for that. Tracy and Sam must have been out of the office when Blaze came to visit Lee. I think that Blaze really is a police ally now, no matter what she may have gotten mixed up in in the past.

This past week was more about pizza than crime, although the argument can be made that putting cheddar cheese on a pizza IS a crime!

Off topic; I found out I have cataracts in both eyes and will need surgery. That’s what I get for reading Dick Tracy on my phone at night! Lol!

I’m not excited about this.

Anyone gone through this before?

Any advice?

This looks like what could have transpired before yesterday’s supper date. Lee is just bustin’ out all over in P. 2. LOL !

So, who’s that face on Lee’s computer screen that’s obscured in panel 2, seen from a distance in panel 4, & then fully revealed in panel 5?

I noticed that Lee referred Blaze as “her friend”. I don’t believe this is a mistake, but a real world thing for those who aren’t out at work or don’t know how it would be accepted by her colleagues and friends.

Nicely done if this is correct.

The artwork is consistently great. Does anyone know where I can find Dick Tracy 1985-2001?

Why is Blaze holding a small bathroom scale?

OK, I think it’s actually a framed picture seen from the back, but it was not obvious to me at first or second glance.

Pizza, schmizza…….oh, I’m good with it, too…..but again, my ears pricked up at “I’m seeing her tonight” and that sultry facial expression……..

You have the sequence of events wrong.

Flakey Biscuit turned State’s Evidence and was put into protective custody. [May 31, 2011]

Flakey assumed the new name of Ms. Beignet and was moved to Madison, WI where she had another TV cooking show. (Pretty weird to be on TV while you are trying to hide.)

Later, as a signing bonus for jointing the Blackhearts, Panda gave Blaze Flakey’s whereabouts. [August 16, 2011]

Blaze, posing as a chauffeur, confronts Flakey Biscuits (who is in anready in protective custody as Ms. Beignet) and kills her (shot not shown in the strip). [October 29, 2011]

Although Blaze was a member of the Blackhearts, she was not involved with the police raid at Ace Tower and was not arrested.

Eventually, Blaze moves in with Notta but it is a physically abusive relationship. Notta and Putty Puss try to frame Tracy in a scandal. Notta forces Blaze to assist against her will.

Notta and Putty Puss are caught. Blaze is arrested with them but due to an earlier conversation with Lee at the laundromat (under cover as T-Bolt). Lee believes Blaze can be turned. When Tracy interviews Blaze, he reveals that Flakey did not die of a gunshot wound. She died from a heart attack brought on by fear of being shot. [May 29, 2016]

WILDLY OFF TOPC: Anyone see…er…ALLEY OOP today? I don’t follow it, as the quality is way below that of the strip I grew up with, but I stumbled across it on the front page. Bizarre. LIL’ OOP? I have to ask myself ‘why??’

Sci-Fi author Robert Anson Heinlein faced such surgery and tried 100Mg of Vitamin B2 twice a day for a year and they went away. Cost is about $50 and a years time if it works. Side effects: your urine is extra yellow. I am currently trying it while stalling on the surgery.

Hmm. Looks like Tracy, by way of Lee Ebony, will recruit Blaze Rise as a CI for the MCU. I’m guessing Blaze will accept his offer, for the sake of keeping the plot moving and with her in it (and also keeping the incipient romance between Blaze and Lee simmering).

As some team leader once said, I love it when a plan comes together!

Blaze bought an art cel from Sue Rise. Yet no thought was given to having it authenticated. Blaze never entertained the idea of being ripped off.

No art expert was with Tracy and Sam, how does he know Art Dekko is dealing in fakes? Oh, that’s right the guy is a creature of habit.
