Try the 2nd choice. She’s going to shed it all, anyway. Couldn’t believe how much hair Shadow shed…..converting dog food into hair was her main activity.
Sounds like my one dog I had, she used to shed so much, she killed to vacuums, and I went out and bought a carpet rake, it worked great, no more killing vacuums.
Hardwood floors and a 19" fan (long cord) can ease the hair balls & dust bunnies out the back door. I used to get some nice “Spanish Moss” effects on the Lilac bushes.
Break through cartoon barriers and have Sophie and the cats visit Millie (from Ozy & Millie). She’ll give them a hair cut that will stop them from shedding for a while. XD
My dog shed HUGE amounts of rolling-around black hair last spring, but she shed very little so far this fall. Do they have more winter hair than summer hair?
You can shave a lab, they look funny as heck (and more than a little embarrassed) but, you can do it. However, the cats will die laughing at her once you do, so do be kind and shave them too :)
I hear some people will make sweaters out of dog hair. .. My concern would be if it rained. Wet dog. Wet dog sweater….can you use it for compost in the garden? There’s something about dog & cat hair helping prevent something…?
You don’t want to spin the outer hair; you only spin the winter undercoat that you brush out in the spring. The outer hair is really, really harsh and itchy. So is human hair.

Wait a few minutes for it to become sentient, and then take it out for walkies.

Other than adhering to the “Faceless Tall People” trope, has Brian Anderson ever explained why we never see any adults’ faces?

Leave it alone, it’ll turn into tribbles, which are no trouble at all as long as a) you don’t feed them and b) give them to the Klingons (or the cats)

This strip is real. With two cats and two dogs our pile of hair is even bigger.

I have friends who card wool and spin yarn (a little tedious for me) and some mix in some pet hair.
As a bird person, I always had just the dust from feather dander and feathers (never saved down, but I’ve used larger feathers for masks and fans).

Roomba choked on pet hair. At least at our house. And we have one Lab, just saying.

I brush handfuls of fur out of Moxie 3 times a week and still mop/vacuum up plenty every time I clean.

Pet hair is made in to sweaters already DOC. But not in sweat shops I hope.
