Over 26 years ago. Nothing much if anything has changed. And Jesus/Allah/etc. wept. And the insanity took over the WH and the Senate complete with a fight on healthcare and especially on mental healthcare.
I took a gap year after HS and moved to Anchorage. The Youth Hostel kicked us out in the morning and didn’t open up until 6pm, so we had to find places to stay warm during the day. We hung out at the library a lot.
One day, a homeless guy across the table from me was reading the Anchorage Daily News. Suddenly he flipped it down, looked me in the eye, and said “You can always tell the start of winter in Anchorage when they start plowing up the street people!” Then he flipped it back up and kept reading.
Coincidentally, the local NPR station is just now broadcasting a Reveal episode about how many organs for transplant become unusable because of transportation problems. Maybe 7%.

Donnie loves to tell the story of how he once saw a homeless man and told Ivanka that the homeless man probably had a higher net worth then Donnie.

And Secretary Carson had blackout curtains installed so he would not have to see that bus stop and the homeless dying there.

Under the Current Administration her death would have been the result of a Hud Death Squad punishing her for getting Too Close to their building.
She might have disturbed Ben Carson’s Nap.

Wow… was it only a couple decades ago that we still thought the 1% was capable of feeling guilt? How naive our nation was back then.
