Oh! My! God! Mike Dooesbury is a grandpa? We went to college together! How could he be a grandpa?

Boy, they grow up so fast.

You know, Alex, when he says he’s “missed this”, he’s referring to you.

Cool trip.

For many years (until recently) I searched every dictionary I came across and never once found a definition for “booger.” So finally, in desperation, I formulated my own: “A desiccated and crustose mucosal rhino excrescence.”

Grandparenting, all care, no responsibility, can’t wait. :D

With my kids now getting married, I am surprised how excited I am about the prospect of grandchildren.

I haven’t been paying attention. When did these grandkids of Mike first appear?

So, what is the difference between a nook and a cranny?

Will this burning question be resolved next week?

That’s why we have grandchildren. Memories of enjoyable moments in parenting.

Finally get to learn the names of the twins and the other babs! I think this is the first time in the strip – do they get mentioned in any of the books.

Geezum—- I remember when he and Mark did a cross country road trip in the “doonesbuggy”— a BMW R series with a side car— and not as a flashback strip. Now he’s “grandpa?”

Easy peasey, Nooks are book readers and Crannies are fans of an Irish rock band!

Today, again, makes me miss the everyday current event strips. The occasional Sunday strips like this one that tries to update the characters current antics are few and far between. I believe the last one featured baby Susie and toddling twins.

I don’t remember Mike and Kim ever discussing having a family though I always had hoped they would. Her generation was more career-centered.

Good thing Grandpa got vaxxed. I hope the camp counselors got vaxxed and they follow strict covid protocol. There will probably be an outbreak at the camp in a few days. This strip has been interrupted by Covid-19 reality, which by the way, doesn’t care about your politics, before anyone says otherwise.

I knew Alex had the twins but when did the daughter come along?

Time moves on, even in the funny pages.

Ouch. I feel sooooooo old.

Why would an intelligent woman with a PhD bring kids into this world?

Grandkids. Instruments of our revenge!

Nooks are bigger. We had one with a whole breakfast table in it.

Is Mike dreaming about being a grandpa or have we jumped 30 years?

Love how Garry puts the shaving cream on Mike’s face to look like a white beard and mustache, thus immediately aging him in our minds.

I thought Alex had twins.

I’m about to do it again! My grandnieces are coming to live with me “for the duration” I’m looking forward to it! I’ve got new/better ways to weird out my relatives.

Had to look up the difference between a nook and a cranny. Short form: Nook = corner, Cranny = crack. Now I know. Who says comics aren’t educational?

These are BD and Boopsie’s grandkids in the here and now. The storyline with Kim is the weekly rerun from the mid 90’s.

I am confused! We’re the twins both boys? If so when was Rosie born? I don’t remember a second pregnancy? I thought the twins were one of each…….

I have a Nook, but I only use it for reading Books.

I was never tempted to take a Bite out of it, not even with sugar on it.

Never owned a Cranny, that I know of.

Leo’s PTSD must be fading away if he can live with three hyperactive kids.One part of
