OH I am so thankful that Kirbee and Chic are still here.Is that Lucranian?Not sure if I spelled it right. So, we forget Holly, the traumatized mouse, and Wally and Kirbee will become an item?

Please tell me… PLEASE tell me we haven’t seen the last of Holly?

Looks like the box Wally is holding has a 25 pin serial port. Maybe he can hack it, and use it as an X-Box emulator.

That box is perhaps the only “real” thing about that Lucranian ship…

Does this mean Holly is being mentally tormented by that ship for the rest of her life?..Not cool.

I may be in the minority here, but I never really liked Holly. She was too self-centered and not helpful.

Maybe losing the tail solves some compatibility issues.

Gone? Not just invisible? If the whole thing was an illusion, then how is a “real” Holly gone? Unless she was carried away somewhere while the others were occupied inside. Maybe it’s a Lucranian road map? ;-)

For Holly to be gone means that Holly was in the first place.

The device in Wally’s hand could be a “Dear John” letter from Holly. The whole Lynn thing could be Holly’s desire to live in a simulation with a Lynn and a child and be shed of Wally and anything that happened later.

The ship could be taken over by Lynn in a form we haven’t seen, and she could be reunited with her husband.

The corpses Wally found might have been decoys as well, to convince him to gather everyone and vacate. The exchange of sustenance for sustenance could be exactly what the ship’s computer claimed. In which case Holly could be in a symbiotic relationship with the computer. Rather than being in torment, she could be living in love and happiness with her “Lynn.”

I’m a little surprised at how emphatic Wally was about Holly and everything being gone, given the ability of dittos to hide everything. I’m assuming that Wally doesn’t sense the dittos that would have cloaked the ship and maybe his dittos don’t sense the ship either.

I’ve found that trying to second guess Aaron is pretty much futile. But keep them coming. The comments make it all more fun.

Another mystery!

Is it a book or a box? That looks like Lucranian writing to me.

I’m hoping the box contains either concentrated supplies or something that will help them locate food and water. Staying alive will be pretty hard without those things.

If you’ve been a fan from the start, you know that major characters have been killed off in the past.

long shot guess . that is the Lucranians hitchhikers guide to Earth chapter. Marx has to figure into this somehow either directly of indirectly but cant remember exactly what part he played without going back and reading it over so not sure if perhaps he had a direct hand in any info gathered on Earth and speaking of him im with Darwinskeeper in he food/water dept I got a feeling he or someone should be popping into to pick up Wally and crew sometime soon.

To inject a bit of humor I dont really read comics online but was really pulled in was the depth Aaron’s story here. That being said the format and the depth of the story is making this like (back in the OLD analog tv days) flipping by Cinamax at 2am and catching a glimpse of a naughty bit thru the static.

In the 3rd panel of Wednesday’s strip, did it look like the ship had a face?

I didn’t see a face. And that is some alien artifact. I will miss Holly.

Id like to change my answer its actually an NES cartridge but its only going to work if you blow on it a few times (no apparent reason) .

My recollection from Marx’s ship is that the writing is Lucranian.It may be that in discovering the Holly that got rescued was a decoy, he also got the message that the ships dittos were in fact answering to Holly. I thnk the ships dittoes are specifically hiding themselves from Wally in all senses. Wally seems pretty resigned to the disappearance, which I can’t imagine he would do if he thought Holly was being tortured by the dittoes.As some point, I imagine we will find out what happened (es) to Holly, but that’s likely to be a while from now.

Maybe: “The care and feeding of (dittoes)”

Well, I wanted Holly gone but not via the tormented for life route…

I never know what to expect from this webcomic anymore.

I’m fully expecting star spawn of Cthultu fighting AT-ATs at this point.

When dittos cloac /cloack/-? something it usually just vanishes at once.This ship was fading away from the ground up.

I wonder about endtown. When they left the power cracy rabbit had just taken over. I would guess the town is not the best place to return to?

I would not have guessed that Wally and Kirbee ended up together. It was clear they were attracted to each other, but I would not have guessed that Kirbee’s easygoing personality and Wallys seriousness would go well together.

(Not that I was trying to make fun of Jenner of Baslim or anything. I just think that, like Sarah, we may have run out of story lines for the mouse)

Last, and certainly least: The disappearance of the ship is the most disturbing thing in this current storyline. The ship lured them in, told an elaborate tale, amazingly accurate for a fabrication, even threw a couple more red herrings at us, before we were to believe that the entire experience was a hoax?

Remembering Lyn, pre-mutant times, and even questioning whether there is such a thing as a “mutagenic virus.” And backing it up with people who have visited the planet and not mutated. // And then, there’s Aaron. Marx, that is. // I hope this is the signal that the entire saga is about to go into an entirely different direction. // Hopefully, one that offers a tad bit more hope than the story lines of the last number of years.

I think those are hinges. If I remember Lucranian books correctly, it’ll open up in weird directions, like a London A-Z map.

Wally may be accepting Holly’s departure because he may be able to read her mind and feelings through the dittos now.

I could see a lot of different story lines that include Holly, including some that involve her trying to face what she’s done and what’s been done to her. Then there would be the whole uncomfortable triangle thing between her, Wally and Kirbee, not fun to go through but it could make for compelling reading. I don’t know what Aaron was thinking when he first came up with Kirbee but I suspect he was surprised at how compelling she’s become. Maybe he started thinking that Holly was just becoming a load on the storyline.
