We thought it was Allyson Creemore wearing those spandex exercise shorts that did it, but it appears any exercise equipment will work on Gordon, if it is modeled by a female. They definitely need to keep Gordon out of the sports equipment locker. He might not survive.
Isn’t exaggeration of the annoying parts of growing up a major content theme for this kind of comic? While it is uncomfortable, there is some truth to how overwhelming hormones and learning impulse control can be. Ignoring the problem as something that “shouldn’t be” only makes it more difficult for kids to learn how to handle.
Ok. We get it. He’s a teenager. Let’s move on. I’m really not enjoying this thread, and that is very rare for me, for this comic. I think the reason it bothers me so much is because it is so exaggerated. I’ve never seen anyone act like that. It’s not a real phenomenon, so it just comes off as annoying. Sorry Lynn, I am an undying fan, and have all of your books, but please be done with this story line. :) If not, I’ll just keep on reading until it does change I suppose.
Now, that’s funny! I said it before, and I say it again: Lynn is an expert in building a joke.
On a serious note: I remember boys in grade 8 (for me that was in late 60’s) being really obnoxious, mean, and crude about girls’ “build” and they were tiresome when they joked about it among themselves…In my day they passed notes, and sometimes their notes got sidetracked to the girls, and I tell you, when they thought they were private, they certainly didn’t skimp on details that included “language” and drawings. In today’s terms, I might even compare it to “cyber bullying” that some kids endure.
Serious,Lynn? Is this a Canadian thing for boys going through puberty up there? It really sucked going through this myself that age, but me and everyone I knew dealt with it internall. You’re making Gorden seem “special”

Two basketballs on a man… hate to break it to you, Gordon, but that’s not female attraction you’re feeling!

The coach won’t put up with Gordon’s theatrics any more than he allowed the hat and shades.

Lynn’s Notes:
More angry letters…about drawing something “suggestive”. Well, of COURSE it’s suggestive! The person who “gets it” is the guilty one!

Took a moment to get the two basketballs triggering the attack.

I confess I got really tired of this arc with the first strip. The premise is quite anti-male.
