Procrastination, your name is Elizabeth. In the meantime, Anthony is going to keep spending money on dates with a girl who has wanted to break up with him for 2 or 3 weeks, and yet, he is blissfully unaware of how much Elizabeth does not want to be with him.

I’m betting Anthony is feeling the disconnect in the relationship. It wouldn’t surprise me if he beats her to the punch and breaks up with her…and then she’ll really have her noise out of joint if he starts seeing another girl.

I never understood the rush to 1 on 1 exclusive relationships in high school. At that age, everyone should be playing the field. You don’t ‘go steady’ till after you’ve dated a bunch of others, and even then, going steady isn’t an engagement.

Oh great! After a week of the kindergarten kids wanting to trade their running shoes, now we have to endure another week of Elizabeth wanting to break up with Anthony just because there are more handsome high school boys in the new school!

Get rid of Anthony once and for all. He is the absolute worst.

In the last panel I can’t tell if Candice’s hair is blowing in the wind like the other two’s, or if it just always points that way.

She’s going to catch him smooching some other girl and be all PO’d about it.

My first serious girlfriend never broke up with me, exactly. I went home from university over Valentines and spent the weekend with her. By the time I got back to school I knew something was off. I waited a few weeks and did not hear anything from her which was a bit unusual. I finally called and asked if it was over and she said, Yes. I wonder when she would have gotten around to telling me herself? Maybe after she married the guy I think helped engineer this. She did marry him five months after the breakup.

I am Soooo glad I’m long past that age.

Unless Liz puts out like a leaky fire hydrant – she’ll be vastly disappointed when she finds out none of the older guys will want to waste time with a diehard good girl.

Probably not the greatest idea to break up with him when no other guy has actually asked her out yet.

This strip makes me very glad that I do not live in Canada in the wintertime.

Yeah, I don’t buy it, in real life people just start dating someone else and the chips fall where they may, especially in high school. That’s the nice thing about the funny papers, that extra helping of innocence and decency that real life is so often missing! I like it !
