Oh, Elizabeth. Never trust a girl to break up with your boyfriend for you, when her head cannot even decide what direction her hair is going.

Never ask someone else to do your difficult personal work for you. That’s weak and cowardly, and it demeans all of the people involved.

So—will Candace hit on Anthony? And if so, how will Liz react?

Breaking up the ‘right’ way means doing it yourself, not asking someone else to do it for you…

Just say “Look Tone, we’re 14. It was never like we were gonna get married an’ live happily ever after…”

Does Candice want Anthony, or is she jealous because she doesn’t have a boyfriend of her own? When teen-age girls are trying to be so helpful, I am suspicious of their motives. (Had two daughters)

OK, this is complicated.

I was in high school, and a girl two years behind me was coming on to me strong, But I already had a girlfriend, so I introduced her to one of my friends who did not have a girlfriend, and they became a couple.

A few months later, my girlfriend dumped me. I was devastated, but the girl I had introduced to my friend dumped him and stated coming on to me again. But because of the bro code, I had to ask him if he minded if I asked his ex out.

He said that was fine. He’d alredy started dating her fraternal twin.

After that, we went on lots of double dates.

When any female says “I still want to be friends.” what she means is “You are my backup plan in case this doesn’t work out. Until I find the next Chad or Tyrone."

I think maybe Candace wants dibs…

If Lynn had kept the series going Candace would be in her late 40’s working on he third divorce

Haha… when I was in my 20’s, a girl had her mother call me to break a date. I would not have been upset if she just did it herself either. Not a big deal. It was only a second date but she wanted to get back with her ex. Probably dodged a bullet.

Liz needs to grow up and do it herself. Anthony deserves that.

Perhaps Liz needs to read American literature, and learn about Miles Standish

Go back to October 4th. Why is she thinking about breaking up with Anthony? Because he’s a nice, solid, reliable guy? Women are fickle.

This predicament that Lizzy is in is something like girlfriends, mothers, aunts “counseling” a woman friend if she should dump/marry her boyfriend. None of these “counselors” are around if the friend makes a mistake and makes the wrong move.

Ah yes, Elizabeth living by the tried and true philosophy of never putting off until tomorrow what she can put off until the day after tomorrow.

Anthony’s going to think Candace is hitting on him.

Tell him yourself, Liz. Don’t farm it out to a third party.

methinks Candace wants Anthony for herself.

Don’t trust her Liz. She will in a conniving way tell him you are no longer interested. And then tell him how much she has liked him all along. Be very afraid of close girl friends, Be very afraid.

If I disliked anything about the strip it was how the Liz—Anthony relationship got stretched out beyond all believability. GONE WITH THE WIND was shorter than Lynn’s excuses for keeping them apart

Plus, your friend probably wants to date him, welcome to the big leagues ! ;-)

I didn’t realize that when one girl talks to another she calls her man.

Romance is always messy. Especially teenage romance.

I never really dated until I was out of HS. I was robbed of my childhood I guess.
