    Candles are dark sponges. As they absorb the dark it erodes away the wax until there’s none left.Light bulbs quit sucking dark when they are full of it.

    Human intuition is good for some things but bad for others. Did you ever pick up a cold bottle and think that it was sending that cold into your hands? Actually, it’s the other way around: it was sucking heat out of your body. But that isn’t the way it FEELS, and it took centuries of misunderstanding before scientists came up with the correct explanation.

    Simple osmosis… there’s less dark outside, so it all migrates on a gradient to try to balance things.
