Feeling nostalgic for Elvis.

For those still confused it’s a piece also known as “sunrise” and was used most famously by Stanley Kubrick in his 1968 film 2001: A Space Odyssey. And by the Apollo space program as well.

Could someone take pity on a poor befuddled foreigner and explain this strange and exotic dance and language?

Ric Flair used it also.

Beethoven could also write a hook.

As a fan both of 2001 Space Odyssey and R. Strauss, I now have Also Sprach stuck in my head, where it will stay all day. Gee, thanks Mallett!

I must be getting old because I have no idea what a “hook” is in music.

Okay, I was never sure whether he was destroying the weapons or the planet.

In words I once heard, if it’s Richard, it’s Wagner; and if it’s Strauss, it’s Johann.
